ALIVE is a travelling museum which tours the UK with monthly exhibitions detailing the circus sideshow. For this month's exhibition, it is all about the tattooed lady, a pivotal act in the sideshow.
The museum takes the form of a pop-up event, it arrives as a shipping container in the town centre, stays for one night and only opens after dark. Visitors will leave having absorbed a history they never thought they would enjoy and then move on to the rest of their night in town, taking with them exclusive offers for local bars and restaurants for one night only to continue their experience.
The museum identity takes it's inspirations from the sideshow banners which line the circus tents and always included a circular motif and two curious dots.
